"Leviathans" is a new body of abstract seascapes created using Intentional Camera Movement, and was photographed on various beaches across the Isle Of Wight.
The work draws inspiration from Abstract Expressionist artists such as Rothko, and also abstract artists working today such as David Mankin. Leviathans is a further examination of shape, colour and light, and is the follow up body of work to the "Fathom Collection".
Similar to "Fathom", this body of work illustrates the emotional connection that I feel for the Coast, and the precious time that is spent there, and aims to evoke an emotional response from the viewer. For me, this would be a sense of calm, peace, and solitude.
